Incubator Program
For our second cohort, we are seeking Fellows working on caregiving and family related projects — software that helps people provide care to kids, aging parents, or others who need support.
This could include:
- helping parents care for kids, whether in pregnancy, infancy, or beyond
- helping adults care for aging parents
- help managing care for those who are sick or have special needs
We are looking for talented builders with specific projects in mind.
The program runs for 8 weeks and is focused on demonstrating that real people value your product. Successful projects may be selected to receive follow-on funding for growth and scaling.
Fellows receive a $10,000 stipend for at least 8 hours of work per week over two months, including weekly cohort meetings. The program is designed to run alongside full-time work or other commitments. Additional funding is available for operational costs, infrastructure, or outreach.
Our second cohort will be small by design. We are looking for people who are not only passionate about their own work, but genuinely excited to support and learn from their peers.
The application deadline for our second cohort is Wednesday, October 7.
Incubator details
- 8 weeks, Oct–Dec
- Part-time, expectation of 8–12 hours of work per week
- Remote
- One weekly live meeting
- All projects in this cohort are caregiving-focused
- Code is open source under AGPL
We're looking for people who
- Are experienced builders with technical depth
- Bring domain-specific knowledge and experience
- Want to build open-source software for the public good
- Value the structure and community of a cohort system
- Have experience with and embrace AI-assisted workflows
- Are US citizens and based in the US
